The Houston Cougars got their revenge for last year’s loss against the UConn Huskies Thursday night at TDECU Stadium. The Coogs whooped the puppies from up north 42-14 to send a message to the rest of the country that was doubting them after the close game against Cincinnati a few weeks ago.

A few interesting facts:

For the first time in program history, the Coogs are 5-0 for the second consecutive season. (h/t Mark Berman, Fox26)

Thursday night’s crowd of 40,573 was the second largest crowd ever to see the Coogs play on campus, trailing only the win over Memphis last season. (h/t UH Athletics)

The rating for the Thursday night game was had a higher tv rating than every other 2015 Big 12 matchup, other than OU-UT and TCU-Baylor (h/t @MJ4Sports)
