Houston vs Georgia Tech preview and watch parties list

via Houston Athletics

The Coogs travel to Atlanta to play the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets tomorrow in the NIT first round. One year after winning only 13 games, the Cougars stunned many naysayers and won an incredible 22 games in Coach Kelvin Sampson’s second season on Cullen Boulevard.

The Coogs were upset in the AAC tournament quarterfinals by Tulane last week. Hopefully the game against the Green Wave will serve as a motivator for the Coogs to come out swinging in the NIT tournament.

Sophomore guard Rob Gray, Jr., leads Cougars and the American 16.3 points per game and is on track to be the Coogs’ first conference scoring champion since Aubrey Coleman in 2010. Gray needs a strong game for the Coogs to have a chance against the Yellow Jackets.
