Over at CoachingSearch.com there’s a great article out about Coach Herman toughening up the Coogs and holding them to a higher standard:
“We’d gotten reports back that kids weren’t respecting study hall, missing a class here or there. They weren’t out in the streets pillaging or burning houses, but it was a tone-setter that every class, every weight workout, every study hall, every mandatory breakfast matters now. I don’t care if your name is (quarterback) Greg Ward Jr. or you’re the sixth-string right guard. If you’re supposed to be somewhere and you’re not there, that’s a major deal in our program. We had a reminder of what it means to be a grown-up.”
