Could UH really sign a 5-star recruit who’s listed as the 13th best player in the country?

The football recruiting world has had some rumblings for the past few weeks that the Cougars might be close to securing a commitment from the highest rated prospect in their history. Ed Oliver of Houston’s Westfield High School is not only a five star recruit and the best defensive tackle in the state of Texas for the 2016 recruiting class, but he’s also listed as the 13th ranked player in the country at any position. Holy cow!

Oliver has reportedly narrowed his choices down to LSU and UH! Oliver’s brother and former high school coach are already on the Cougars’ roster and coaching staff respectively. Keep your fingers crossed Cougar fans!

Edit: Thanks to our awesome fans there’s a good discussion over at r/CFB and the University of Houston subreddit.
