Coach Herman knows the biggest key to a successful offense is the play of the offensive line. The Coogs have added a two-star, 6’6″ 280 lbs. offensive lineman, Jarrid Williams, from Cedar Hills, Texas outside of Dallas.
Lost in the discussion of Ohio State’s dominance of Oregon is how incredible their line played and was able to contribute to the holes for Cardale Jones and Ezekiel Elliott. The Coogs looked absolutely lost on offense last year until John O’Korn was benched for Greg Ward, Jr. and still never reached their full potential. A huge reason why their offense was so putrid is due to the amount of turnover on their offensive line. Hopefully the new recruits along the o-line will help the Coogs move the football.
What’s interesting is Williams didn’t seem to have any other D-1 offers which we can only speculate why, but hopefully Coach Herman and staff have found a diamond in the rough.
